Our Principal
Dear Hillcrest Families,
I am honored and excited to join the Hillcrest community as your principal for the 2026–2027 school year! As I begin this new chapter, one of my greatest priorities is getting to know our students, families, and staff and learning what makes Hillcrest such a special place.
I have been a proud educator in Adams 12 Five Star Schools since 2009. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve students and families as a teacher, student achievement coach, STEM Coordinator, assistant principal, and principal at STEM Launch. Before joining STEM Launch, I taught at STEM Lab and Malley Drive Elementary in Adams 12. I have also taught 5th and 6th grade in Mapleton and middle school math in Adams 14. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Urban and Linguistically Diverse Education, through the Boettcher Teachers Program and the University of Denver.
I believe that the strongest schools are built through strong partnerships. You know your children best, and I want to learn from you. I welcome your ideas, questions, feedback, and perspectives as we work together to make Hillcrest an incredible place for every student. Please know that my door is open. Whether you have a celebration to share, a question or concern, an idea for our school, or simply want to introduce yourself, I hope you will reach out. I look forward to meeting with families and finding ways for us to partner throughout the year.
Outside of school, I am a mom to three daughters. I love trail running, reading, and spending time in the mountains with my family. I am looking forward to getting to know the many families who make up the Hillcrest community and learning alongside you.
I am so proud to be part of the Hillcrest family, and I am excited about what we can accomplish together. Every day counts, and every Hornet matters, and I am grateful to be on this journey with you!
