Summer 2025 Information

Good afternoon Hillcrest Families and Friends, 

 

I hope that you are doing well as you are adjusting to these early days of summer.  I wanted to provide some timely information as well as some information that may be helpful as we begin to approach the next school year.  

 

2025 FREE SUMMER MEALS @ Hillcrest!

This summer, kids ages 1-18 eat free for both breakfast and lunch at Hillcrest Elementary!  Breakfast will be served from 8:30-9:00 am; lunch will be served from 11-12 pm.  If you are planning to come for a meal, come in door 16, the door where our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students typically enter.  Adults can purchase a meal for $5.  For more information including other sites serving meals, please visit www.adams12.org/SummerMeals.  

 

STAFF CHANGES for 2025-2026

This year, several of our staff are transitioning to different positions in other places and will not be returning to Hillcrest in the Fall.  Please join us in wishing the following staff well on their new adventures.  We are grateful for their commitment to our Hillcrest Hornets - they will be missed:

Keep Reading

Keep your child reading!  Time spent reading will help maintain the growth that students have made over the course of this year.  To encourage reading, we sent home a reading log on the final day of school for all students to participate.  If your child reads for a minimum of 5 hours this summer they will be invited to participate in a popsicle party when we return in August.

 

Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year

In the upcoming months, you will be receiving more information regarding registration for next year.  As in previous years, this will take place through the online portal prior to the beginning of next school year.  Through the portal, you will be able to view your child’s teacher in early August.  In the event that you have moved and you would like your child to remain at Hillcrest, please apply through the choice application found here @ https://www.adams12.org/enroll/schools-of-choice-program.

• August 7, 5:00-7:00 pm  - Back to School Night - come meet and greet your teachers, drop off school supplies and see your classrooms!

• Tuesday, August 12 - FIRST Day of School!
