PEAK Staff and Students Rally for "Lights on After School"

Last month, on October 20th, PEAK Learning Center Staff from 5 sites (North Star, Malley Drive, Hillcrest, Thornton, and McElwain) loaded 6 school buses and traveled to the state capital to witness the lighting in honor of Lights On Afterschool. Since its launch in 2000, Lights On Afterschool has been the only nationwide rally celebrating afterschool programs. Every year, more than 8,000 afterschool programs across the country draw 1 million people to join celebrations of the impact these programs have on children, families, and communities.
