Good Morning Hillcrest Families and Friends!

We are well into the month of November at Hillcrest.   Thank you to those of you who were able to join us at Hillcrest at some point during October when we had several school events including parent teacher conferences, our Fall Family Title One GAME night and our Halloween parade. 

 

EYE Love Care

As many of you know, we had the opportunity to bring in a free eye exams for all students during the Week of October 27th and we had 68 students participate!  For those students who were seen and qualified for glasses, students will be fitted for glasses on Wednesday, November 12th. Congratulations to Ms. Considine’s classroom who had the most students participate; they are having a pizza party to celebrate on Thursday, November 13th!

Thanks to our community’s support, Ballot Issue 5B passed! The local measure helps narrow the funding gap between the Five Star District and nearby school districts in the Denver metro area. Learn more about how we’ll use MLO funding to invest in staff, safety and programming.

We are starting a NEW tradition - every week on Fridays, you can expect to find pictures of our Hillcrest Family (students, staff and families) posted on Facebook!  Join our Facebook page and spread the word!

 

Adams 12 School Choice

The Adams 12 School Choice window opens December 1, 2025 at which time a list of schools open to Choice will be posted to this website: Choice Program The deadline for priority consideration is January 2, 2026. Please review our updated Choice Policy. 

 

Community Resources 

We recognize that the holidays can be a difficult time for many families. For individuals interested in obtaining holiday assistance or information about clothing and food resources, please reach out to our Family Outreach Liaison  at 720-972-8244. I am available to help connect you with the necessary resources. You can also visit this link to find food banks near you. 

 

THANKGIVING BREAK  - NO SCHOOL

A reminder that all Adams 12 schools, including Hillcrest, have a fall break during the week of November 24-28 and there will be no school for students.  We look forward to seeing students when we return back on Monday, December 1st. 

 

Upcoming Dates:

• November 24-28 - Thanksgiving Break, no school for students
• December 19 - No School for students
• December 22 - January 5th - Winter Break, no school for students
• January 6 - Students return
