Good Afternoon Hillcrest Families and Friends!

 

It’s hard to believe that we are into the final week of school for the 2025-2026 school year!  We all hope to see you at Celebration of Learning as we reflect on the year and celebrate all of the amazing growth that has taken place!

 

Celebration of Learning - Soar Into Summer - May 19, 5:30 - 7pm

Come for the “celebration of learning” and stay for the fun!  The evening will start in classrooms as students share and celebrate what they have learned this year.  After visiting classrooms, we will provide hotdogs and snacks (first come, first served) as well as an art activity for students and summer fun take-home toys!

 

LAST CALL for Lost and Found!

Our “Lost and Found” is over flowing!!! Please make sure to stop by the Lost and Found during Celebration of Learning to collect any missing items.  We will be donating all remaining items to a local thrift store on Wednesday, May 20th.  

 

Kindergarten and Fifth Grade Continuation Ceremonies

As our kindergarten students and fifth grade students transition to the next grade level, we hold a celebratory continuation ceremony to honor and recognize these milestones.  The continuation ceremonies will be held on Thursday, May 21st in the school cafeteria.  The kindergarten ceremony will take place from 8:30-9:15; the 5th grade ceremony will take place from 10:00-11:00 am.  If parents choose to check students out for the remainder of the day, a form of ID will be required.   

 

Summer plans at Hillcrest

This summer, Hillcrest is getting some BIG work done thanks to our BOND! We will be under construction as we build a completely new main playground as well as a playground specifically for preschool and kindergarten students.  Additionally, the small playground currently located at the front of the building will be redesigned to be an outdoor classroom area!  You will also notice when you return in the fall, that classrooms, our school library and our cafeteria, will be getting new furniture to freshen up and modernize our spaces for students.  We can’t wait to share our upgrades with you in the fall!

• May 19th,  5:30-7 pm - Celebration of Learning Community Event
• May 21, 8:30-9:15 am - Kindergarten Continuation
• May 21,  10:00-11:00 am - Fifth Grade Continuation
• May 21 - Last day of school for all students!
