Hillcrest students created Avalanche players' headshots

Hillcrest Elementary students, in partnership with the Colorado Avalanche Hockey team, were showcased during "Next Generation Night" with the Avs on January 4, 2025. In the months leading up to the event in art class, art teacher, Tiffany Stout, led students to create players' headshots to be selected and on display throughout the night. Students' artwork was showcased on the jumbotron, paired side by side with the actual player headshot, on rotation as players entered the ice and throughout the period intermissions. A crowd favorite was a short video shown in which the players reacted to their own portrait created by students. We are so very proud of our Hillcrest Hornets and their creativity, attention to detail and dedication to the process that they engaged in for this special event.
