Hillcrest receives donation from community member

The first day the Hillcrest office opened to families after returning from the summer, a second grade family showed up eager to let the office staff know that through the father's online social media presence, he was able to raise enough donations for every second grade student to have brand new school supplies. At back to school night, the student and family returned with a carload of materials ....crayons, tissues, pencils, wipes, notebooks, whiteboard markers and boxes and boxes of snacks... everything that a student needs to start the year feeling well prepared and excited. There were so many supplies that not only did our second grade students benefit from the donation, but we were able to extend the supplies to students across the building. What an incredible contribution and example of care and generosity to our Hillcrest students and community.
